Bell Bottom is a crime thriller set in the 80s, with a comical undertone. And entertains the final product which serves the purpose.The plot is about how heart-rending detective Divakara ends up taking on the biggest crime in his town. The case lets him encounter several people, including several eccentric criminals, and he also finds love in the gutsy and friendly Kusuma, who sells hooch in the area as a bootlegger. For so many characters becoming suspect, and a crime that often seems difficult to fix, Divakara has a lot to contend for.
A highlight is a nostalgic feel to the game, right out of the graphics, background score, and costumes. The dialogs are a pleasure too, with specific references to pop events and celebrities throughout that age. Casting is on spot. Rishab leads the pack with a noteworthy performance. Hariprriya delivers yet another solid act, demonstrating why she is currently considered one of the most versatile actresses around. Also deserving of mention are Pramod Shetty, PD Sathish Chandra, and Sujay Shastry.
