Given the respectable background score – an absolute must for a thriller to succeed – the film doesn't hold you on the edge, and ends up being yet another run-of-the-mill, half-baked effort to concoct a tale of passion, death, and deception.
As the stubble-sporting cop with a devil-may-care mentality, Rishi Kapoor is very convincing as a character with a tumultuous past seeking to get to the bottom of this twisted love story. As a romantic partner with dubious morality, Emraan Hashmi exudes beauty in sections and evokes sympathy (when and where necessary).
As a rich-yet-lonely millionaire, with a warped mind displaying cold-hearted behavior, Sobhita Dhulipala is not so persuasive in the way she ends up being too good to be evil. Debutante Vedhika Kumar has a strong screen presence as the innocent and gullible partner in crime but feels like a misfit particularly in the second half.
Like all other Emraan Hashmi videos, this film's music – mainly love ballads – will not annoy the ears and the catchy numbers are calming. 'The body' is low in substance and high in glamour, in short. This one isn't anything to unfold.
