Surya (Mahesh Babu) is an incredibly smart and ambitious man who comes to Mumbai with a raging desire to become the city's most powerful Mafia Kingpin. He tends to come in at a time when Mumbai Police Commissioner Bharadwaj (Nasser) proudly claims the city's "Bhai's" have been snuffed out. Surya sets out to accomplish its targets in a methodical and measured manner by cleverly and skilfully taking power from the grassroots level.He allies with a local politician Laloo (Shayaji Shinde), and helps him seize power. Since then, Surya 's rise begins as India's most prominent Don.
Meanwhile, he's still in love with Chitra (Kajal), who turns out to be Bharadwaj 's daughter. Surya's meteoric rise isn't easily taken by opposing politicians (led by Prakash Raj) and they're starting to plot to get him down. Prakash Raj and Surya share a past too. What is that, then? Can Surya come to terms with his dreams? That is the story.
Mahesh Babu is simply stunning in Surya 's role. Its delivery of dialog and expressions will send a tingle down your spine. They exude utter fear as they send his enemies a 'dhamki.' His performance has shown nice variations. And as usual, he looks beautifully handsome. This movie shoulders Mahesh Babu to himself. A big draw would be coolness, confidence, and elegance of Mahesh Babu.
Kajal Aggarwal looks stunning as Chitra and she has moments of attraction with Mahesh Babu. She has no room for success though.
Puri Jagan is the movie's other silent character. Take a bow sir, for some of the best recently seen dialogues. -- dialogue, like a bullet, blasts and the result is devastatingly successful when delivered by Mahesh Babu. The film is high on entertainment factor and the film has hardly a boring moment. There are highly innovative scenes in which Mahesh Babu sets about building his supremacy.
Each of the songs was well pictured but the song 'Sir Osthara' and 'Chandamama' stood out for their pure elegance. With Kajal, the most talked-about kiss was captured very perfectly and aesthetically. In the item number, Shwetha Bharadwaj sizzled. She has a bright sector future. Nazar, Prakash Raj, Shayaji Shinde ... are all right.
Logic and circumstances have taken on other dramatic freedoms. The scene of bank robbery is very rustic and looks outdated, particularly in this age of high-tech crime. Had the climax been much better. The enormous traction the political scene has built up has fizzled out.
The romantic soundtracks are very much similar to Pokiri in its context as well as in its delivery. There is still no entertainment to chat to, which could discourage a few people in the audience. There are several vulgar dialogs that should have been stopped. A friend of Heroine is a major irritant.
Dialogs .. Dialogs and Dialogues ... These are a tremendous asset to the film. Great timing and amazing blow. Cinematography is excellent. Editing is elegant. Fights and songs were well-composed. The screenplay is incredibly entertaining, and the narration is swiftly paced.
Businessman is the show all the way to Mahesh Babu. And what a sight. With his sheer presence, he just towers over the film and is assisted by some incredible Puri Jagan dialogues. The film is high on quotient entertainment. Ignore some of the illogical loops and gaps in the storylines and you're in for an incredibly fun journey. This is as good as entertainers at paisa vasool get. Go, and have fun this weekend with your friends. You'll be watching this movie.
