Ajay Devgn starrer Tanhaji has become the latest victim of piracy website Tamilrockers. The film, which hit screens on January 10, has already leaked on the piracy website, thus making it accessible for illegal downloads.

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior (2020) Review
The movie follows the life of the ardent Maratha Warrior, Tanhaji Malusare, who was one of the nearest supporters and a military leader of Chhatrapati Sivaji Maharaj. The center was the famous Battle of Sinhagad, which saw Tanhaji take Udaybhan, a Rajput who fought for Aurangzeb against the Marathas which was held on 22 February 1670.
Under the Purandar Pact Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj (Sharad Kelkar) surrendered 23 forts to Aurangzeb (Luke Kenny), including the strategically important Kondhana (now known as Sinhagad). Rajmata Jijabai (Padmavati Rao) vowed to walk barefoot before the Marathas recaptured the fort.
Four years back, Aurangzeb sends a large army and a massive cannon named 'naagin' to Udaybhan (Saif Ali Khan) to ensure that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is unable to retake the fortress. While Shivaji Maharaj is planning a campaign, he does not want to send to the battlefield his trusted lieutenant and dear friend, Subedar Tanhaji Malusare, as the latter 's son is about to get married.
Once Tanhaji is acquainted with the 'mohim' (campaign), he implores Shivaji Maharaj to grant him a chance to capture Kondhana. His friend, Savitribai (Kajol), is proving his quiet energy. Despite some like Pisal's (Ajinkya Deo's) evil intentions, Tanhaji manages to make inroads into the fort which is considered impregnable. Where Tanhaji battles the lethal Udaybhan, a fierce war ensues. While the story is known, it has taken several creative liberties to capture audience attention.
Ajay Devgn is in fine form playing with all his strength the braveheart Maratha hero, Tanhaji. With subtlety and restraint, he powers through while keeping the patriotic passion always high. Kajol as Tanhaji's strong and supportive wife, Savitribai, makes a convincing performance of her limited screen time count. Saif as Udaybhan overpowers; with finesse and ferocity, he puts forth his character's aggression and devilish streak.
He also brings a tinge of laughter to the scene in certain moments of his hideous madness, thus bursting into a wicked chuckle himself. This is one of the most exceptional performances on Saif. The casting of the main characters is another highlight of the film. Sharad Kelkar looks at the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and brings the requisite gravitas to the role of the warrior-king.
Director Om Raut 's debut Hindi film shows a flair for storytelling. He keeps the film firmly in his grip and balances the emotions and drama with tact. The 'ghorpad' angle (monitor lizard) which historians dispute has been given a twist in the film. CGI is freely used and is effortlessly integrated into the plot. It helps to mount the movie to a scale it needed to create a solid impact.
The action — and obviously there's plenty of sword fighting, slicing, dicing — is designed (by action director Ramazan Bulut) and shot skillfully and aesthetically, and is a visual treat. Although the film certainly didn't have to be rendered in 3D style, some of the scenes really stand out.
'Tanhaji: The Unsung Hero' scores on multiple counts — superior performances, strong action, visual effects, and most of all, it unfolds a tale that needs to be told from the pages of memory, with just this kind of strength, zeal, and vigor.
